English Synopsis: Lā Kahakai is an event that is held every Spring semester for Hawaiian Language students to familiarize themselves with Hawaiian fishing practices and techniques. Students are also taught how to catch, clean, prepare and cook fish. The event allows our students to gain hands-on experiences beyond the walls of a classroom. Everything is done in Hawaiian Language.
